Rt. Rev. Nicholas Synge was the son of Most Rev. Edward Synge and Jane Proud.2 He married Elizabeth Trench, daughter of Frederick Richard Trench and Elizabeth Eyre, on 27 October 1724.1 He died on 1 February 1771, with several daughters (the eldest Elizabeth d unmarried 1834.3
