Georgina Rebecca Judge was the daughter of Canon unknown Judge.2 She married Charles Paget Carmichael, son of David Scott Carmichael Smyth and Anne Sherwood, on 8 November 1853.1 She died on 23 March 1884.1

Sir James Forrest Halkett Carmichael was born on 8 July 1868.3 He was the son of Charles Paget Carmichael and Georgina Rebecca Judge.2 He married Winifred Mary Row, daughter of Reverend J. M. Webster Row, in 1908.3 He died on 12 August 1934 at age 66, without issue.3
Sir James Forrest Halkett Carmichael was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.3 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.3 He was commissioned in 1887, in the service of the Royal Engineers and served in India, Aden, Sonaliland and Burma (1889-90), in Chin Hill Expedition (1893) War Office 1900-3, Ordnance Survey 1903-4, joined Staff.3 He fought in the Tiral Expedition between 1897 and 1898.3 He was 4th Crown Agent for Colonies and Engineer-in-Chief.3 As Heir of the House of Carmichael he claimed unsuccessfully the dormant titles of the Earl of Hyndford.3 He held the position of 28th Chief of the Name and Arms of Carmichael on 8 September 1915.1 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1918.3 He was decorated with the award of Chevalier, Legion of Honour in 1919.3 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1920.3 He was registered as a Member, Insititute of Civil Engineers (M.Inst.C.E.).3 He was invested as a Knight Bachelor in 1929.3
