     Very Rev. Baptist Proby was the son of John Proby and Jane Leveson-Gower.1 He married Mary Russell, daughter of Reverend John Russell.1 He died on 18 January 1807.1
     Very Rev. Baptist Proby held the office of Dean of Lichfield.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.).1
