Sir Compton Pocklington Domvile, 1st Bt.1

     Sir Compton Pocklington Domvile, 1st Bt. was the son of Charles Domvile and Margaret Sheppard.2,3 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Frances Lindsay, daughter of Rt. Rev. Hon. Charles Dalrymple Lindsay and Elizabeth Fydell, on 21 October 1811.2 He married, secondly, Helena Sarah Trench, daughter of Michael Frederick Trench and Anne Helena Stewart, on 7 December 1815. He died on 23 February 1857.4
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Dublin, for 18 years.4 He held the office of Custos Rotulorum of County Dublin.4 He was created 1st Baronet Domvile, of Templeogue and Santry [Ireland] on 22 May 1815.4

     Lionel Arthur Lindsay was born on 27 March 1861.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Gore Lindsay and Hon. Ellen Sarah Morgan.1 He died on 15 April 1945 at age 84, unmarried.1
     He was an Adjutant, Major and Inspector of the Egyptian Police.1 He held the office of Chief Constable of Glamorgan between 1891 and 1937.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1912.1 He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.1
