Charles Stuart Aubrey Abbott, 3rd Baron Tenterden1

     Charles Stuart Aubrey Abbott, 3rd Baron Tenterden was born on 26 December 1834.2 He was the son of Hon. Charles Abbott and Emily Frances Stuart.2 He married, firstly, Penelope Mary Gertrude Smyth, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir John Rowland Smyth and Hon. Catherine Alice Abbott, on 2 August 1859.2 He married, secondly, Emily Mary Bailey, daughter of Charles Bailey, on 13 January 1880.2 He died on 21 May 1928 at age 93.2
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Tenterden, of Hendon in the county of Middlesex [U.K., 1827] on 10 April 1870.2 He held the office of Permanent Under-Secretary of State, Foreign Affairs.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3

Audrey Mary Florence Abbott was the daughter of Charles Stuart Aubrey Abbott, 3rd Baron Tenterden and Penelope Mary Gertrude Smyth.2,3 She married, firstly, Major Robert Gordon Handcock, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Robert French Handcock and Isabella Louisa Gordon, on 30 March 1882.1 She married, secondly, William Harry Nash, son of John Nash, on 8 July 1915.1 She died on 24 November 1945.1
     From 30 March 1882, her married name became Handcock. From 8 July 1915, her married name became Nash.1

     Stannus Henry Handcock was born on 11 April 1852.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Robert French Handcock and Isabella Louisa Gordon.2 He married Theodosia Violet Blacker, daughter of Murray McGregor Blacker, on 11 September 1883.1 He died on 31 January 1938 at age 85.1

     Edward Stanley Handcock was born on 6 August 1853.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Robert French Handcock and Isabella Louisa Gordon.2 He married, firstly, Lucy Eleanor Archer, daughter of Captain Clement Robert Archer and Eliza Swetenham, on 3 July 1880.1 He married, secondly, Rose Marion Middleton, daughter of Colonel William Alexander Middleton, on 13 April 1889.1 He died on 22 April 1928 at age 74.1
