     Major Francis Nigel Napier, 14th Baron Napier was born on 5 December 1930. He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Francis Cyril James Hamilton Napier, 13th Baron Napier and Violet Muir Newson. He married Delia Mary Pearson, daughter of Major Archilbald David Barclay Pearson, on 30 October 1958. He died on 15 March 2012 at age 81.1
     He gained the title of 5th Baron Ettrick of Ettrick. Major Francis Nigel Napier, 14th Baron Napier usually went by his middle name of Nigel.2 He gained the title of 14th Baron Napier of Merchistoun.

     Ernest Pendleton Magruder married Maryel Alpina MacGregor, daughter of Rear-Admiral Sir Malcolm MacGregor of Mac Gregor, 4th Bt. and Lady Helen Laura McDonnell, on 23 October 1911. He died on 8 April 1915 at Belgrade, Serbia.

     F/Lt. Ernest Magruder was the son of Ernest Pendleton Magruder and Maryel Alpina MacGregor. He died on 28 August 1942 at Malta, killed in action.
     He fought in the Second World War. He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserves.

     Colonel William Alexander Middleton is the son of Colonel Charles Middleton.2 He married Harriet Margaret Kavanagh, daughter of Thomas Kavanagh, The MacMorrough and Lady Harriete Margaret Le Poer Trench, on 28 February 1851.3,2
     He lived at Borris, County Carlow, Ireland.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1

     Sir Hector David Mackenzie of Gairloch, 8th Bt. was born on 6 June 1893.1 He was the son of Sir Kenneth John Mackenzie of Gairloch, 7th Bt. and Lady Marjorie Louisa Murray.1 He died on 10 May 1958 at age 64, unmarried, when the territorial Barony of Gairloch passed to his niece.1
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Lovat Scouts Yeomanry.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was decorated with the award of the Military Cross (M.C.).1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Mackenzie, of Gairloch [N.S., 1703] on 4 December 1929.1 He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ross and Cromarty in 1932.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Ross and Cromarty before 1935.1 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty between 1935 and 1936.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty between 1936 and 1958.1

     Roderick Ian Mackenzie was born on 27 May 1895.1 He was the son of Sir Kenneth John Mackenzie of Gairloch, 7th Bt. and Lady Marjorie Louisa Murray.2 He died on 11 April 1915 at age 19, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the service of the 1st Battalion, Black Watch (Royal Highlanders).1 He fought in the First World War.1
