     Hayes St. Leger, 4th Viscount Doneraile was born on 1 October 1818.2 He was also reported to have been born on 30 September 1818.4 He was the son of Hayes St. Leger, 3rd Viscount Doneraile and Lady Charlotte Esther Bernard.2,3 He married Mary Ann Grace Louisa Lenox-Conyngham, daughter of George Lenox-Conyngham and Elizabeth Holmes, on 20 August 1851.5 He died on 26 August 1887 at age 68, without surviving male issue, from rabies contracted after being bitten by a fox the preceding January.4
     Hayes St. Leger, 4th Viscount Doneraile held the office of Representative Peer [Ireland].4 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baron Doneraile, of Doneraile, co. Cork [I., 1776] on 27 March 1854.4 He succeeded to the title of 4th Viscount Doneraile, of Doneraile, co. Cork [I., 1785] on 27 March 1854.4 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the service of the 9th Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps.4 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).4

     Mary Ann Grace Louisa Lenox-Conyngham was the daughter of George Lenox-Conyngham and Elizabeth Holmes.1,2 She married Hayes St. Leger, 4th Viscount Doneraile, son of Hayes St. Leger, 3rd Viscount Doneraile and Lady Charlotte Esther Bernard, on 20 August 1851.3 She died on 24 February 1907.3
     From 20 August 1851, her married name became St. Leger.3 As a result of her marriage, Mary Ann Grace Louisa Lenox-Conyngham was styled as Viscountess Doneraile on 27 March 1854.
