     Mona Mitchell was the daughter of Harry Douglas Mitchell.1 She married Alun Arthur Gwynne Jones, Baron Chalfont, son of Arthur Gwynne Jones and Eliza Alice Hardman, in 1948.1 She died on 31 May 2008 at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2
     Mona Mitchell graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.).1 She graduated with a Bachelor of Surgery (Ch.B.).1 From 1948, her married name became Jones.1 As a result of her marriage, Mona Mitchell was styled as Baroness Chalfont in 1964.
