Sir John Chaundos, 3rd Lord Chaundos was born before 1349.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Chaundos, 2nd Lord Chaundos and Lucy (?).1 He married, secondly, Philippe de Briene, daughter of Sir Guy de Bryan, 1st and last Lord Bryan.1 He married, firstly, Violette de la Bere, daughter of John de la Bere, in 1363.1 He died on 16 December 1428, without issue.2
Sir John Chaundos, 3rd Lord Chaundos succeeded to the title of 3rd Lord Chaundos [E., 1337] on 6 October 1375, de jure.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Herefordshire in 1382.1 He was Knight of the Shire for Herefordshire in 1392/93.1 He was Knight of the Shire for Herefordshire in 1394/95.1
On his death, his title would have become dormant for 30 years, until his sister's heir succeeded.2
