     Ella Mabel Chetwynd-Stapylton was born on 22 November 1889.1 She was the daughter of Granville Chetwynd-Stapylton and Elizabeth Routledge.2 She married Colonel Sir William Alan Gillett, son of William Edward Gillett, on 14 June 1911.1 She died in June 1974 at age 84.1
     From 14 June 1911, her married name became Gillett. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1
