Arthur Chichester, 1st Earl of Donegall was born on 16 June 1606.2 He was the son of Edward Chichester, 1st Viscount Chichester of Carrickfergus and Anne Coplestone.1 He married, firstly, Dorcas Hill, daughter of John Hill.2 He married, secondly, Lady Mary Digby, daughter of John Digby, 1st Earl of Bristol and Beatrice Walcott.2 He married, thirdly, Letitia Hicks, daughter of Sir William Hicks, 1st Bt., on 13 August 1651.2 He died on 18 March 1674/75 at age 68.2
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Antrim in 1639.2 He held the office of Governor of Carrickfergus.2 He was created 1st Earl of Donegall [Ireland] on 30 March 1647, with a special remainder to his father's male descendants.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Viscount Chichester of Carrickfergus, co. Antrim [I., 1625] on 8 July 1648.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Chichester of Belfast, co. Antrim [I., 1625] on 8 July 1648.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3

Robert Cholmondeley, 1st Viscount Cholmondeley of Kells was the son of Hugh Cholmondeley and Mary Bodvile.1 He married Elizabeth Cradock, daughter of George Cradock and Dorothy Saunders.1 He died on 22 May 1681 at St. James's, London, England.1 His will was probated in November 1681.1 He was buried on 3 June 1681 at Malpas, Cheshire, England.1
