     Lieutenant Erskine William Douglas Hamilton Dawson was born on 31 January 1889.1 He was the son of George Thomas McNair Dawson and Maria Bertha Douglas-Hamilton.1 He died on 6 November 1917 at age 28 at Beersheba, Palestine, from wounds received in action.1
     Lieutenant Erskine William Douglas Hamilton Dawson fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 5th Horse Regiment, Australian Imperial Force.1
