Hon. Alastair Francis Buchan was born on 9 September 1918.1 He was the son of John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir and Susan Charlotte Grosvenor.1 He married Hope Gilmour, daughter of David Gordon Gilmour, on 11 April 1942.1 He died on 4 February 1976 at age 57.1
