     Essex Mary Hibbert is the daughter of Colonel Hugh Robert Hibbert.² She married George Chichester, son of Sir Arthur Chichester, 8th Bt. and Mary Nicholetts, on 15 February 1908.¹
      From 15 February 1908, her married name became Chichester.

     Reverend Charles Chichester was born on 19 August 1868.¹ He was the son of Sir Arthur Chichester, 8th Bt. and Mary Nicholetts.^2,1 He married Emily Annie Page, daughter of Samuel Page, on 24 June 1896.¹ He died on 7 January 1938 at age 69.¹
     He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹ He was the Rector between 1894 and 1936 at Shirwell, Barnstaple, Devon, England.¹

     James John Chichester was born on 19 November 1897.¹ He was the son of Reverend Charles Chichester and Emily Annie Page.² He married Beatrice Walton Milward Jones, daughter of William Milward Jones, on 3 September 1932.¹ He died on 7 January 1968 at age 70, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1916 in the service of the Duke of Edinburgh's Wiltshire Regiment.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1916 and 1918.¹

     William Milward Jones lived at Rosebank, Rathfarnham, County Dublin, Ireland.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹

     Beatrice Walton Milward Jones was the daughter of William Milward Jones.² She married, firstly, Robert Webster before 1932.¹ She married, secondly, James John Chichester, son of Reverend Charles Chichester and Emily Annie Page, on 3 September 1932.¹ She died on 28 April 1963.¹

     Sir Francis Charles Chichester was born on 17 September 1901.¹ He was the son of Reverend Charles Chichester and Emily Annie Page.² He married, firstly, Muriel Eileen Blakiston, daughter of M. F. Blakiston, in 1923.¹ He married, secondly, Sheila Mary Craven, daughter of Gerald Craven, on 25 February 1937.¹ He died on 26 August 1972 at age 70.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.¹ He was he was the second person to fly slo from London to Sydney in 1929.¹ He was he made the first long distance solo flight in a seaplane in 1931.¹ He was decorated with the award of the Johnston Memorial Trophy for Air Navigation in 1931.¹ He was invested as a Fellow, Institute of Navigation (F.I.N.).¹ He was chairman of Francis Chichester Ltd, Map and Guide Publishers.¹ In 1960 he won the first solo Trans-Atlantc yacht race.¹ He was decorated with the award of the Yachtsman of the Year Trophy in 1960.¹ He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1964.¹ Between 27 August 1966 and 28 May 1967 he circumnavigated the world via Cape Horn in Gypsy Moth IV.¹ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1967 receiving the accolade from HM Queen Elizabeth II with Drake's sword at Greenwich.¹ He was decorated with the award of the Gold Medal of the Royal Geographical Society in 1967.¹ He wrote the book The Lonely Sea and the Sky.¹ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.³
