Sir Michael Nial Slade, 6th Bt. was born on 30 July 1900.2 He was the son of Sir Cuthbert Slade, 4th Bt. and Kathleen Scovell.2,3 He married Angela Clare Rosalind Chichester, daughter of Orlando Chichester and Isabel Clare Parks-Smith, on 7 May 1928.1 He died on 15 April 1962 at age 61.2
Sir Michael Nial Slade, 6th Bt. was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Somerset Light Infantry.2 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Slade, of Maunsel House, Somerset [U.K., 1831] on 28 October 1960.4

Sir Arthur Chichester, 8th Bt. was born on 4 October 1822 at Youlston, Devon, England.3 He was the son of Sir Arthur Chichester, 7th Bt. and Charlotte Hamlyn-Williams.2 He married, firstly, Mary Nicholetts, daughter of John Nicholetts, on 20 November 1847.1 He married, secondly, Rosalie Amelia Chamberlayne, daughter of Thomas Chamberlayne, on 23 January 1883.1 He died on 13 July 1898 at age 75 at Youlston, Devon, England.3 His will was probated, at £106,673 gross and £4,831 net.3
