     Reverend Aretas Akers was born on 18 November 1824.1 He was the son of Aretas Akers and Isabella Larking.2 He married Frances Maria Brandram, daughter of Francis Holles Brandram, on 7 August 1849.1 He died on 18 May 1900 at age 75.1
     Reverend Aretas Akers graduated from Worcester College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He lived at Malling Abbey, Kent, England.1

     Maj.-Gen. Charles Style Akers was born on 21 September 1828.1 He was the son of Aretas Akers and Isabella Larking.2 He married Henrietta Margaret Despard, daughter of General unknown Despard, on 16 October 1851.1 He died in 1887.1
     Maj.-Gen. Charles Style Akers gained the rank of Major-General in the service of the Royal Engineers.1 He had seven other children.1
