Ulick Bourke, 1st Viscount Galway was the son of William Bourke, 7th Earl of Clanricarde and Lady Helen MacCarty.1 He married Hon. Frances Lane, daughter of George Lane, 1st Viscount Lanesborough and Lady Frances Sackville, on 30 July 1688 in a clandestine marriage.2 He died on 12 July 1691 at Aughrim, County Galway, Ireland, killed in action, without issue.2
Ulick Bourke, 1st Viscount Galway was created 1st Baron of Tyaquin, co. Galway [Ireland] on 2 June 1687.2 He was created 1st Viscount of Galway [Ireland] on 2 June 1687.2 He fought in the Battle of Aughrim on 12 July 1691, in command of a Regiment of Foot for King James II.2
