     Lady Helen MacCarty was the daughter of Donough MacCarty, 1st Earl of Clancarty and Eleanor Butler.1,2 She married, secondly, William Bourke, 7th Earl of Clanricarde, son of Sir William Bourke and Joan O'Shaughnessy.2 She married, firstly, Sir John Fitzgerald before 1662.2 She married, thirdly, Thomas Bourke before 1 February 1699/0.2 She died from 6 August 1720 to 29 June 1722.2 Her will (dated 6 August 1720) was probated on 29 June 1722.2
     Her married name became Bourke.2 From before 1662, her married name became Fitzgerald.2 As a result of her marriage, Lady Helen MacCarty was styled as Countess of Clanricarde.
