     Ernest Edward Dowling Clarke was born on 19 May 1869.1 He was the son of Sir William John Clarke, 1st Bt. and Mary Walker.2 He died on 13 January 1941 at age 71, unmarried.1
     Ernest Edward Dowling Clarke gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1890 in the service of the Royal Navy.1

     From 8 December 1887, her married name became Macdonald.

George Alexander Cruikshank in 1895.1 She married, secondly, Professor Horatio Scott Carslaw, son of Reverend Dr. William Henderson Carslaw, on 12 February 1907.1 She died on 3 June 1907 at age 39.1
     From 1895, her married name became Cruikshank. From 12 February 1907, her married name became Carslaw.1
