     Emma Jane Lucretia Smith was the daughter of Sebastian Smith.² She married Sir Gilbert East Gilbert East, 2nd Bt., son of Sir East George Clayton East, 1st Bt. and Marianne Frances Bishop, on 29 January 1845.¹ She died on 28 July 1872.¹
     From 29 January 1845, her married name became Gilbert East.

     Sir Gilbert Augustus Clayton East, 3rd/7th Bt. was born on 25 April 1846.¹ He was the son of Sir Gilbert East Gilbert East, 2nd Bt. and Emma Jane Lucretia Smith.² He married Eleanor Theresa Fraser, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Alexander Robert Fraser, on 3 September 1867.¹ He died on 26 September 1925 at age 79.¹
     Sir Gilbert Augustus Clayton East, 3rd/7th Bt. was baptised with the name of Gilbert Augustus Gilbert East.¹ He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Clayton East, of Hall Place, Berkshire [U.K., 1838] on 12 August 1866.¹ On 1870 his name was legally changed to Gilbert Augustus Clayton East.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Clayton, of Marden, co. Surrey [G.B., 1732] on 7 October 1914.¹

     Eleanor Theresa Fraser was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Alexander Robert Fraser.² She married Sir Gilbert Augustus Clayton East, 3rd/7th Bt., son of Sir Gilbert East Gilbert East, 2nd Bt. and Emma Jane Lucretia Smith, on 3 September 1867.¹ She died on 11 July 1924.¹
     From 3 September 1867, her married name became Gilbert East.¹ From 1870, her married name became Clayton East.¹

     Gilbert William Clayton East was born on 7 May 1869.¹ He was the son of Sir Gilbert Augustus Clayton East, 3rd/7th Bt. and Eleanor Theresa Fraser.² He died on 23 November 1924 at age 55, without issue.¹

     Sir George Frederick Lancelot Clayton East, 4th/8th Bt. was born on 3 September 1872.¹ He was the son of Sir Gilbert Augustus Clayton East, 3rd/7th Bt. and Eleanor Theresa Fraser.² He married Frances Louise Helen Colquhoun, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Colquhoun and Anna Maria Eliot, on 13 October 1906.¹ He died on 27 April 1926 at age 53.¹
     Sir George Frederick Lancelot Clayton East, 4th/8th Bt. gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Artillery.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).¹ He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Clayton, of Marden, co. Surrey [G.B., 1732] on 26 September 1925.¹ He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Clayton East, of Hall Place, Berkshire [U.K., 1838] on 26 September 1925.¹

     Lt.-Col. James Colquhoun was born on 3 March 1835.³ He was the son of John Colquhoun and Frances Sarah Maitland.² He married Anna Maria Eliot, daughter of Robert Kerr Eliot, on 26 January 1876.³ He died in 1883.³
     Lt.-Col. James Colquhoun gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Highland Borderers and 4th Dragoon Guards.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dunbartonshire.³ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹

     Frances Louise Helen Colquhoun was the daughter of Lt.-Col. James Colquhoun and Anna Maria Eliot.² She married Sir George Frederick Lancelot Clayton East, 4th/8th Bt., son of Sir Gilbert Augustus Clayton East, 3rd/7th Bt. and Eleanor Theresa Fraser, on 13 October 1906.¹ She died on 29 January 1950.¹
     Frances Louise Helen Colquhoun held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.¹ From 13 October 1906, her married name became Clayton East.

     Sir Robert Alan Clayton-East-Clayton, 5th/9th Bt. was born on 7 April 1908.¹ He was the son of Sir George Frederick Lancelot Clayton East, 4th/8th Bt. and Frances Louise Helen Colquhoun.² He married Dorothy Mary Durrant, daughter of Reverend Arthur Durrant, on 29 February 1932.¹ He died on 1 September 1932 at age 24, without issue.¹
     Sir Robert Alan Clayton-East-Clayton, 5th/9th Bt. was baptised with the name of Robert Alan Clayton East.¹ He succeeded to the title of 9th Baronet Clayton, of Marden, co. Surrey [G.B., 1732] on 27 April 1926.¹ He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Clayton East, of Hall Place, Berkshire [U.K., 1838] on 27 April 1926.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.¹ On 22 January 1932 his name was legally changed to Robert Alan Clayton-East-Clayton by Deed Poll.¹ On his death, his 1838 baronetcy became extinct.¹
