     John Lloyd Clayton was born on 19 August 1796.1 He was the son of Sir William Clayton, 4th Bt. and Mary East.2 He married Louisa Sophia Littledale, daughter of Charles Littledale, on 10 April 1832.1 He died on 6 October 1855 at age 59.1
     John Lloyd Clayton gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.1
