     Sir Philip Haughton Clarke, 8th Bt. was born in 1761.1 He was the son of Sir Simon Clarke, 7th Bt. and Anne Haughton.1 He died on 12 May 1798, unmarried.1 His will was probated in June 1798.1
     Sir Philip Haughton Clarke, 8th Bt. was also known as Philip Houghton Clarke.2 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Clarke, of Salford, co. Warwick [E., 1617] on 2 November 1777.1 He matriculated at Queen's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 16 May 1778.1 He lived at Kingston, Jamaica.1

     Catherine Haughton James was the daughter of John Haughton James.1 She married Sir Simon Haughton Clarke, 9th Bt., son of Sir Simon Clarke, 7th Bt. and Anne Haughton, on 9 April 1814.1 She died on 13 August 1837.1 Her will was probated in January 1839.1
     Catherine Haughton James lived Jamaica.2 From 9 April 1814, her married name became Clarke.1
