     Francis Edmund Clayton was born in December 1844.1 He was the son of Rice Richard Clayton and Maria Amelia Nugent.2 He married Eliza Liggins, daughter of Henry Liggins, on 15 September 1881.1 He died on 11 April 1905 at age 60.1
