John Haughton James1

     John Haughton James was born on 23 September 1763 at Hanover, Jamaica.2 He was the son of Colonel Montague James and Mary Haughton.1,3 He married Mary Halton, daughter of Sir William Halton, 6th Bt. and Mary Garner, on 3 February 1791 at St. George, Hanover Square, London, England.2 He died on 29 June 1835 at age 71.2
     He lived at Burnt River, Hanover, JamaicaG.1

     Ann Clayton was born on 19 September 1933.1 She is the daughter of Sir Arthur Harold Clayton, 11th Bt. and Alexandra Andreevsky.2 She married, firstly, Alfred Plew, son of Edwin Plew, on 4 October 1951.1 She and Alfred Plew were divorced in 1977.1 She married, secondly, John Hawksely Martin in 1978.1
     From 4 October 1951, her married name became Plew. From 1978, her married name became Martin.1

     Sir Simon Haughton Clarke, 10th Bt. was born on 7 April 1818.1 He was the son of Sir Simon Haughton Clarke, 9th Bt. and Catherine Haughton James.1 He died on 28 April 1849 at age 31 at Guernsey, Channel IslandsG, unmarried.1
     He was also known as Simon Houghton Clarke.2 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Clarke, of Salford, co. Warwick [E., 1617] on 28 August 1832.3 He matriculated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 16 December 1837.3
