     Sir Thomas John Clavering, 8th Bt. was born on 6 April 1771.1 He was the son of George Clavering and Mary Palmer.1 He married Clare de Callais de la Bernadine, daughter of John de Callais de la Bernadine, Comte de la Sable and Petronella (?), on 21 August 1791.2 He died in 1853.1 His will was probated in June 1854.2
     In 1794 he raised a troop of yeomanry at his own expense.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Clavering, of Axwell, co. Durham [E., 1661] on 14 October 1794.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Northumberland in 1817.1

     Clare de Callais de la Bernadine was the daughter of John de Callais de la Bernadine, Comte de la Sable and Petronella (?).1 She married Sir Thomas John Clavering, 8th Bt., son of George Clavering and Mary Palmer, on 21 August 1791.1 She died before September 1854.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered in September 1854.1
     From 21 August 1791, her married name became Clavering.1

     Sir William Aloysius Clavering, 8th Bt. was born on 21 January 1800.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas John Clavering, 8th Bt. and Clare de Callais de la Bernadine.1 He died on 8 October 1872 at age 72 at St. George's Hospital, Hyde Park Corner, London, England, from apoplexy, unmarried.1
     Sir William Aloysius Clavering, 8th Bt. graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1821 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1825 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Clavering, of Axwell, co. Durham [E., 1661] in 1853.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Durham in 1859.1

     Lt.-Gen. Sir John Clavering was born after 1720.1 He was the son of Sir James Clavering, 6th Bt. and Catharine Yorke.1 He died on 30 August 1777 at Calcutta, India.1
