     Mary Coyney was the daughter of Walter Hill Coyney.2 She married George Lambert Clifford, son of Hon. Henry Thomas Clifford and Hon. Barbara Aston, on 6 April 1812.1 She died on 22 July 1854.1
     From 6 April 1812, her married name became Clifford.

     Sir Charles Clifford, 1st Bt. was born on 1 January 1813 at Mount Vernon, Lancashire, England.1,2 He was the son of George Lambert Clifford and Mary Coyney.3 He married Mary Anne Hercy, daughter of John Hercy, on 13 January 1847.1 He died on 27 February 1893 at age 80 at London, England.1,2
     He was educated at Stonyhurst College, Blackburn, Lancashire, EnglandG.2 He emigrated to New Zealand arriving on 1842.2 He held the office of Speaker of the House of Representatives [New Zealand] between 1853 and 1860.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [New Zealand] between 1853 and 1860, for Wellington.2 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1858.1 He was created 1st Baronet Clifford, of Flaxbourne, in the province of Marlborough, in the colony of New Zealand [U.K.] on 16 July 1887.1

Sir George Hugh Charles Clifford, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir George Hugh Charles Clifford, 2nd Bt. was born on 10 October 1847.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Clifford, 1st Bt. and Mary Anne Hercy.2 He married, firstly, Mary Lawson, daughter of Sir John Lawson, 2nd Bt. and Mary Anne Gerard, on 7 April 1880.1 He married, secondly, Janet Burnett, daughter of James Burnett, on 24 August 1884.1 He married, thirdly, Helen Frances Stonyhurst Dennis, daughter of Reverend James Dennis, on 27 December 1891.1 He died on 17 April 1930 at age 82.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Clifford, of Flaxbourne, in the province of Marlborough, in the colony of New Zealand [U.K., 1887] on 27 February 1893.1

     Sir John Lawson, 2nd Bt. was born on 17 December 1829.2 He was the son of Sir William Lawson, 1st Bt. and Clarinda Catherine Lawson.2 He married, firstly, Mary Anne Gerard, daughter of Frederick Sewallis Gerard and Mary Ann Wilkinson, on 15 October 1856.2 He married, secondly, Agnes Mary Matilda Molyneux-Seel, daughter of Edmund Richard Thomas Molyneux-Seel and Countess Anne Marie de Lousade, on 5 October 1870.2 He died on 10 December 1910 at age 80 at Brough Hall, Catterick, Yorkshire, England.3,4
     He graduated from London University, London, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Lawson, of Brough Hall, Catterick, co. Yorks [U.K., 1841] on 22 June 1865.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Yorkshire.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Yorkshire.2

     From 7 April 1880, her married name became Clifford.

     Sir Charles Lewis Clifford, 3rd Bt. was born on 17 July 1885.1 He was the son of Sir George Hugh Charles Clifford, 2nd Bt. and Janet Burnett.2 He died on 13 September 1938 at age 53, unmarried.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Lancashire Hussars Yeomanry.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Clifford, of Flaxbourne, in the province of Marlborough, in the colony of New Zealand [U.K., 1887] on 17 April 1930.1
