     He succeeded his father in his tailor's shop.1

     John Pepys was born in 1641.1 He was the son of John Pepys and Margaret (?).2 He died in 1677, unmarried.1
     John Pepys was educated at St. Paul's School, London, England.1 He was educated at Christ's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He was a Clerk to Trinity House in 1670.1
