Colonel William Henry Stopford-Blair was born on 13 January 1788.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Hon. Edward Stopford and Letitia Blacker.1 He married Mira Sophia Bull, daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Bull, on 3 March 1825.1 He died on 20 September 1868 at age 80.1
