     Winifred Brooke was born in 1893 at Silverton, Devon, England.1 She was the daughter of Harry Brooke and Mary Jane Morley.1 She married John Henry Chapple in January 1919 at Eastbourne, Sussex, England.1
     From January 1919, her married name became Chapple.1
