Mary Hort was the daughter of Most Reverend Josiah Hort.2 She married Sir John Coghill, 1st Bt., son of Balthazar John Cramer and Hon. Judith Butler, on 17 October 1754.1 She died on 14 December 1815.1

Vice-Admiral Sir Josiah Coghill, 3rd Bt. was born in 1773.1 He is the son of Sir John Coghill, 1st Bt. and Mary Hort.2 He married, firstly, Sophia Dodson, daughter of John Dodson, on 31 August 1803.1 He married, secondly, Anna Maria Bushe, daughter of Rt. Hon. Charles Kendal Bushe and Anne Crampton, on 27 January 1819.1 He died on 20 June 1850.3
