      From 1928, her married name became Evershed.1 As a result of her marriage, Cecily Elizabeth Joan Bennett was styled as Baroness Evershed on 20 January 1956.

     Charles Shaw-Lefevre was the son of Reverend George Shaw and Mary Green.1 He married Helena Lefevre, daughter of John Lefevre, on 3 September 1789.1 He died on 27 April 1823.1
     He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn entitled to practice as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He was given the name of Charles Shaw at birth.1 His name was legally changed to Charles Shaw-Lefevre by Royal Licence.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Newtown, Isle of Wight between 1796 and 1802.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Reading between 1802 and 1820.1
