     From 6 November 1916, her married name became Cradock-Hartopp.

     Sir Kenneth Alston Cradock-Hartopp, 10th Bt. was born on 26 February 1918.1 He was the son of Louis Montague Cradock-Hartopp and Marjorie Somerville Watson.2 He married Gwendolyn Amy Lillian Upton, daughter of Captain Victor Crowther Upton, on 18 June 1942.1 He died on 8 June 2000 at age 82.
     Sir Kenneth Alston Cradock-Hartopp, 10th Bt. fought in the Second World War.1 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1946.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.) in 1949.1 He fought in the Korean War.1 He was captain of the frigate, H.M.S. Taupo between 1951 and 1952.1 He was decorated with the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1952.1 He was decorated with the U.S. Legion of Merit in 1953.1 He succeeded to the title of 10th Baronet Cradock-Hartopp, of Freathby, co. Leicester [G.B., 1796] on 7 August 1996.1 On his death, his title became extinct.

     From 5 July 1952, her married name became Carter. She lived in 1999 at Dormer Cottage, Long Sutton, Lincolnshire, England.1
