John Elphinstone of Glack was the son of James Elphinstone of Glack and Janet Leslie.2 He married Anna Irvine, daughter of James Irvine of Artamford.1 He died circa 15 January 1735.1

John Elphinstone of Glack was born circa 1666.1 He was the son of John Elphinstone of Glack and Anna Irvine.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Forbes, daughter of Alexander Forbes of Foveran, in 1691.1 He married, secondly, Jean Achyndachy, daughter of Alexander Achyndachy of that Ilk, in 1734.1 He died in September 1758.1
John Elphinstone of Glack was Honour Burgess Aberdeen in 1731.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Elphinstone, of Logie Elphinstone, co. Aberdeen and Nova Scotia [N.S., 1701] in January 1743, de jure.1

William Elphinstone was the son of James Elphinstone of Glack and Elizabeth Wood.2 He married Margaret Forbes.1 He died circa 16 December 1664.1

Sir James Elphinstone, 1st Bt. was born in 1642.1 He was the son of William Elphinstone and Margaret Forbes.2 He married Cecilia Denholme, daughter of John Denholme of Muirhouse and West Shield, on 2 September 1673.1 He died on 10 March 1722.1
Sir James Elphinstone, 1st Bt. was Writer to the Signet (W.S.) in 1671.1 In 1676 he bought the lands of Logie Durnoch.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Aberdeenshire [Scotland] between 1693 and 1702.1 He held the office of Judge of the Commissary Court of Edinburgh in 1696.3 He was created 1st Baronet Elphinstone, of Logie Elphinstone, co. Aberdeen and Nova Scotia [Nova Scotia] on 2 December 1701, with remainder to his heirs male whatsoever.1
