     Lt.-Col. Samuel Brian Digby Hood was born on 1 June 1910.3 He was the son of Alexander Frank Hood and Gladys Ursula Youell.4 He married Myrtle Baron, daughter of Sir Louis Bernard Baron, 1st Bt., on 8 April 1937.3 He died on 15 September 1988 at age 78 at Stow on the Wold, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.3,2
     He fought in the Second World War, and was mentioned in despatches twice.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Middlesex Yeomanry.3 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)3

     Sarah Jane Hood was born on 9 February 1945.2 She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Samuel Brian Digby Hood and Myrtle Baron.3,4 She married Hon. Jolyon Kenneth Alnwick Grey, son of Ralph Francis Alnwick Grey, Baron Grey of Naunton and Esme Mae Burcher, in 1971.1
     Sarah Jane Hood usually went by her middle name of Jane.2 From 1971, her married name became Grey.1 She lived in 2003 at Upper Swell Farm, Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2
