     Vice-Admiral John Lyons was born on 1 September 1787.1 He was the son of John Lyons and Catharine Walrond.1 He married, firstly, Caroline Bowen, daughter of Major unknown Bowen.1 He married, secondly, Anna Maria (?) on 31 August 1865.1 He died on 15 December 1872 at age 85.1
     Vice-Admiral John Lyons gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in the service of the Royal Navy.1
