     Mary Lewis was born circa 1885.1 She was the daughter of William Lewis.2 She married Sir Gordon Macdonald, 1st Baron Macdonald of Gwaenysor, son of Thomas Macdonald, in 1913.1 She died in June 1967.1
     From 1913, her married name became Macdonald. As a result of her marriage, Mary Lewis was styled as Baroness Macdonald of Gwaenysgor on 13 April 1949.

     Hon. Kenneth Lewis Macdonald was born on 3 February 1921.1 He was the son of Sir Gordon Macdonald, 1st Baron Macdonald of Gwaenysor and Mary Lewis.2 He married Maureen Margaret Allan, daughter of David Watson Allan, in 1952.1 He died in 1990.1
     Hon. Kenneth Lewis Macdonald fought in the Second World War, with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, in the Royal Air Force Coastal Command.1 He was Private Secretary and Aide-de-Camp to his father as Governor of Newfoundland between 1946 and 1949.1
