Evelyn Henry Pierrepont was born on 23 August 1856.1 He was the son of Sydney William Herbert Pierrepont, 3rd Earl Manvers and Georgiana Jane Elizabeth Fanny de Franquetot.1 He married Sophia Arkwright, daughter of William Arkwright, on 1 June 1880 at London, England.1 He died on 4 June 1926 at age 69.1

     Sophia Arkwright was born in 1855 at Hotham, Yorkshire, England.2 She was the daughter of William Arkwright.1 She married Hon. Evelyn Henry Pierrepont, son of Sydney William Herbert Pierrepont, 3rd Earl Manvers and Georgiana Jane Elizabeth Fanny de Franquetot, on 1 June 1880 at London, England.1 She died on 5 June 1941, as the result of an accident.1
     From 1 June 1880, her married name became Pierrepont.1

     Gervas Evelyn Pierrepont, 6th Earl Manvers was born on 15 April 1881.1 He was the son of Hon. Evelyn Henry Pierrepont and Sophia Arkwright.1 He married Marie-Louise Roosevelt Butterfield, daughter of Sir Frederick William Louis Butterfield and Jessie Kennedy Ridgway, on 5 February 1918.1 He died on 13 February 1955 at age 73.1
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Cooper's Hill Engineering College.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He was awarded the Order of the Crown of Belgium.1 He held the office of Member of the London County Council between 1922 and 1946, Brixtin Division.1 He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Pierrepont of Holme Pierrepont, co. Nottingham [G.B., 1796] on 17 July 1926.1 He succeeded as the 6th Earl Manvers [U.K., 1806] on 17 July 1926.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Newark of Newark-on-Trent, co. Nottingham [G.B., 1796] on 17 July 1926.1 He held the office of Member of the Nottinghamshire County Council between 1940 and 1946.1 On his death, his titles became extinct.2

Evelyn Henry Pierrepont and Sophia Arkwright.1 She married Elliott Mackirdy Scott-MacKirdy, son of William Augustus Scott-MacKirdy and Lucy Bell, on 4 July 1906 at St. Georges Church, Hanover Square, London, England.1 She died on 2 June 1971 at age 88 at Worthing, Sussex, England.2
     From 4 July 1906, her married name became Scott-MacKirdy.1 In August 1940 she was granted the rank of an earl's daughter.1

     From 20 September 1919, her married name became Hartnell.1 She held the office of Mayor of Chelsea between 1939 and 1941.1 In August 1940 she was granted the rank of an earl's daughter.1
