     Mary Katharine Long was the daughter of Rear-Admiral Samuel Long.2 She married Hugh Jeffery Middleton, son of Sir Arthur Edward Middleton, 7th Bt. and Lady Constance Harriet Amherst, on 22 July 1905.1 She died on 23 August 1949.1
     Mary Katharine Long held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northumberland.1 From 22 July 1905, her married name became Middleton. She was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.1
