     Adeline Pattle was the daughter of James Pattle and Adeline de l'Etang.1 She married Lt.-Gen. Colin Mackenzie, son of Kenneth Francis Mackenzie and Anne Townsend, in May 1832.2 She died circa 1836.2
     From May 1832, her married name became Mackenzie.1

     Lt.-Gen. Colin Mackenzie was born on 25 March 1806 at London, England.2 He was the son of Kenneth Francis Mackenzie and Anne Townsend.2 He married, firstly, Adeline Pattle, daughter of James Pattle and Adeline de l'Etang, in May 1832.2 He married, secondly, Helen Douglas, daughter of Admiral John Erskine Douglas, in 1843.2 He died on 22 October 1881 at age 75 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2
     Lt.-Gen. Colin Mackenzie was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1867.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of Nationary Biography.2
