     Charles Granville Stuart-Menteth was born on 1 December 1800.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Granville Stuart-Menteth of Closeburn, 1st Bt. and Ludivina Loughnan.1 He married Cecilia Louisa Cecil, daughter of Walter Cecil and Louisa Clementina Drummond, on 19 September 1826.1 He died on 8 May 1880 at age 79.1
     He was a practising barrister.1 He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He lived at Entry Hill House, Bath, Somerset, England.1

     From 19 September 1826, her married name became Stuart-Menteth.1
