     Reginald William Clifford-Smith was the son of A. Clifford-Smith.² He married Dorothy Nepean, daughter of Sir Evan Colville Nepean and Elizabeth Anne Jenner, on 25 October 1913.¹ He died in September 1960.¹

     Colonel Herbert Augustus Tierney Nepean was born on 17 April 1839.¹ He was the son of Rev. Canon Evan Nepean and Anne Fust.² He married, firstly, Alice Bayley, daughter of Maj.-Gen. James Walker Bayley, on 10 November 1864.¹ He and Alice Bayley were divorced in 1878.¹ He married, secondly, Agnes Louisa Nisbett, daughter of John More Nisbett and Lady Agnes Dalrymple, on 9 August 1894.³ He died on 10 December 1924 at age 85.³
     Colonel Herbert Augustus Tierney Nepean gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Indian Army.¹

     Alice Bayley is the daughter of Maj.-Gen. James Walker Bayley.² She married Colonel Herbert Augustus Tierney Nepean, son of Rev. Canon Evan Nepean and Anne Fust, on 10 November 1864.¹ She and Colonel Herbert Augustus Tierney Nepean were divorced in 1878.¹
     From 10 November 1864, her married name became Nepean.

     Brig.-Gen. Herbert Evan Charles Bayley Nepean was born on 10 October 1865.¹ He was the son of Colonel Herbert Augustus Tierney Nepean and Alice Bayley.² He married, firstly, Alice Maud Ross, daughter of Surgn.-Maj. Hamilton Ross, in 1892.¹ He married, secondly, Muriel Faulkner, daughter of Reverend R. Butler Faulkner, in October 1950.³ He died on 28 March 1951 at age 85.³
     Brig.-Gen. Herbert Evan Charles Bayley Nepean was Commandant of the 123rd Outram's Rifles, Indian Army.¹ He was Temporary Brigadier-General and Brigade Commander of the Middle East Force between 1916 and 1921.¹ He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1917.¹ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.) in 1919.¹ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1921.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in 1922.¹

     
     Surgn.-Maj. Hamilton Ross lived at Ballynacrae House, Ballymoney, County Antrim, Ireland.¹

     Alice Maud Ross was the daughter of Surgn.-Maj. Hamilton Ross.² She married Brig.-Gen. Herbert Evan Charles Bayley Nepean, son of Colonel Herbert Augustus Tierney Nepean and Alice Bayley, in 1892.¹ She died on 6 March 1950.¹
     From 1892, her married name became Nepean.

     Colonel Herbert Dryden Home Yorke Nepean was born on 27 November 1893.¹ He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Herbert Evan Charles Bayley Nepean and Alice Maud Ross.² He married Edith Florence Woods, daughter of Edward Patrick Woods, on 21 April 1927.¹ He died on 25 January 1956 at age 62, without issue.¹
     Colonel Herbert Dryden Home Yorke Nepean was educated at Tonbridge School, Tonbridge, Kent, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded and was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.¹ He fought in the Afghan War in 1919.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 5th Royal Gurkha Rifles (FF) and 9th Gurkha Rifles, Indian Army.¹ He was decorated with the Royal Humane Society's Bronze Medal.¹ He was Deputy Military Advisor-in-Chief to the Indian States Forces between 1942 and 1946.¹ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1945.¹

     Edith Florence Woods was the daughter of Edward Patrick Woods.² She married Colonel Herbert Dryden Home Yorke Nepean, son of Brig.-Gen. Herbert Evan Charles Bayley Nepean and Alice Maud Ross, on 21 April 1927.¹ She died on 16 August 1962.¹
     From 21 April 1927, her married name became Nepean.
