     Emmeline Pethick is the daughter of Henry Pethick.1 She married Frederick William Pethick-Lawrence, 1st and last Baron Pethick-Lawrence, son of Alfred Lawrence and Mary Elizabeth Ridge, on 2 October 1901.1
     From 2 October 1901, her married name became Pethick-Lawrence.1 She wrote the book My Part in a Changing World, published 1938.1 After her marriage, Emmeline Pethick was styled as Baroness Pethick-Lawrence on 16 August 1945.

     Henry de Worms, 1st and last Baron Pirbright was born on 20 October 1840.1 He was the son of Baron Solomon Benedict de Worms and Henrietta Samuel.1 He married, firstly, Fanny von Todeschi, daughter of Eduard Freiherr von Todeschi, on 5 May 1864.2 He married, secondly, Sarah Phillips, daughter of Sir Benjamin Samuel Phillips, on 25 January 1887.2 He died on 9 January 1903 at age 62, without male issue.1
     He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1863 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the City of Westminster.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Middlesex.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the City of Westminster.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Middlesex.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Greenwich between 1880 and 1885.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade between 1885 and 1888.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Liverpool, East Toxteth Division between 1885 and 1895.1 He held the office of Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies between 1888 and 1892.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)1 He was created 1st Baron Pirbright, of Pirbright, co. Surrey [U.K.] on 15 November 1895.1 On his death, his title became extinct.2
