     Eleanor Margaret Sinclair was born on 29 September 1943.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Roland Lecky Sinclair and Jean Ann Dorothy Coates.2 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Walter Roger Shope in 1962.1 She and Lt.-Col. Walter Roger Shope were divorced in 1981.1 She married, secondly, James Edwin Lewis in 1986.1 She died in 1996.1
     From 1962, her married name became Shope. From 1986, her married name became Lewis.1
