     Christian Freiherr Steeb was born on 11 May 1848 at Peterwardein.1 He was the son of Johann-Baptist Ritter und Edler von Steeb and Ida Rehm.1 He married Maria Alexia Freiin Rauch de Nyék, daughter of Levin Freiherr Rauch de Nyék and Donata Antonia Gräfin Sermage de Somszédvár et Medvedgrád, on 28 April 1877 at Zagreb, Croatia.1 He died on 8 November 1921 at age 73 at Golubovec Castle, Croatia.1
