     Christopher Codrington was the son of Christopher Codrington.2 He died on 7 April 1710.1
     Christopher Codrington held the office of Governor of the Leeward Islands.1 He left to All Souls, Oxford, £10,000 for a library plus his own collection of books, as well as £2,000 p.a. to the Society for the Propogation of the Gospel to found a College at Barbados.1

     Sir William Codrington, 2nd Bt. was born on 26 October 1719.1 He was the son of Sir William Codrington, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Bethell.2 He married Anne Acton on 22 February 1735/36.1 He died on 11 March 1792 at age 72.1
     Sir William Codrington, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Codrington, of Dodington, co. Gloucester [G.B, 1721] on 17 December 1738.1 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.).1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tewkesbury.1
