     Hon. Helen Sarah Godley was born on 10 August 1872.3 She was the daughter of John Arthur Godley, 1st Baron Kilbracken and Hon. Sarah James James.2 She married Henry Edward Harcourt Rice, son of Admiral Sir Edward Bridges Rice and Cecilia Caroline Harcourt, on 25 June 1895.1 She died on 16 December 1922 at age 50.1
     Hon. Helen Sarah Godley held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 From 25 June 1895, her married name became Rice. She was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.1
