     John Campbell was born on 9 August 1815.1 He was the son of Colin Campbell, 1st of Colgrain and Janet Miller Hamilton.2 He died in May 1846 at age 30.1
     John Campbell gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Scots Greys.1

     Alexander Henry Campbell was born on 31 July 1822.1 He was the son of Colin Campbell, 1st of Colgrain and Janet Miller Hamilton.2 He married Agnes Douglas, daughter of John Campbell Douglas of Mains, on 20 October 1858.1
     Alexander Henry Campbell held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hertfordshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cornwall.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Launceston between 1865 and 1868.1
