     Maj.-Gen. Sir Stewart Graham Menzies was the son of John Graham Menzies.1 He married, firstly, Lady Avice Ela Murial Sackville, daughter of Gilbert George Reginald Sackville, 8th Earl De La Warr and Lady Muriel Agnes Brassey, on 28 November 1918.1 He and Lady Avice Ela Murial Sackville were divorced in 1931.1 He married, secondly, Pamela Thetis Beckett on 13 December 1932.3 He died on 29 May 1968.1
     Maj.-Gen. Sir Stewart Graham Menzies was decorated with the Military Cross (M.C.).1 He gained the rank of Major-General in the service of the 2nd Life Guards.1 He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.).1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1
