Sir George Oliver Colthurst, 7th Bt. was born on 24 August 1882.1 He was the son of Sir George St. John Colthurst, 6th Bt. and Edith Jane Thomasina Morris.2 He died on 28 February 1951 at age 68, unmarried.1
Sir George Oliver Colthurst, 7th Bt. was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the South Irish Horse.1 He was decorated with the Croix de Guerre.1 He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Colthurst, of Ardum, co. Cork [I., 1744] on 25 December 1925.1 He was Master of Foxhounds for Muskerry between 1930 and 1944.1

Mary Penelope Colthurst was born on 16 October 1912.1 She was the daughter of Sir Richard St. John Jefferyes Colthurst, 8th Bt. and Cecily Charlotte Cholmondeley.2 She married, firstly, Maj.-Gen. Godfrey John Hamilton, son of Lt.-Col. Frederick Arthur Hamilton and Phyllis Addams Williams, on 27 April 1937.1 She and Maj.-Gen. Godfrey John Hamilton were divorced in 1952.1 She married, secondly, Major Jack Montagu Hillyard, son of Commander G. W. Hillyard, on 10 September 1952.1 She died in September 1975 at age 62.1
