     Sir Richard La Touche Colthurst, 9th Bt. was born on 14 August 1928.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard St. John Jefferyes Colthurst, 8th Bt. and Denys Maida Hanmer West.² He married Janet Georgina Wilson-Wright, daughter of Leonard Almroth Wilson-Wright and Florence Janet Margaret Ivory, on 24 October 1953.¹ He died on 22 March 2003 at age 74.¹
